dish!
|
| Ingredients |
1
pound fresh green beans, stems removed
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon olive oil
3-4 cloves garlic, minced |
Instructions |
| Bring
a large pot of water to boil. Add green beans and salt. Boil just
until beans are al dente, testing after 10 minutes (it can take
up to 10 minutes longer, depending on the beans); drain and plunge
into ice water to stop cooking. Chill until ready to use.
At serving
time, add olive oil to the drained pot and place over medium
high heat. Lightly sprinkle bottom of pot with salt, if desired,
and freshly ground black pepper and add the minced garlic.
Stir for about 1 minute, until garlic is fragrant.
Add the
chilled green beans; stir well to coat with oil and garlic;
cover for two or three minutes so beans will heat through.
Stir and test to be sure beans are warm all the way through.
